Set device group membership or device ownership för HD

Hej!
Jag har ett problem som jag trots en hel del sökande på forum och letande i manualer inte lyckas lösa. Hoppas att ni experter kan hjälpa mig.
Jag kör ubuntu 10.04 på en arbetsstation och använder datorn som host för Vmware workstation 7 där jag kör FreeNAS som gäst. Då jag vill använda mig av ZFS i FreeNAS behöver jag komma åt diskarna fysiskt (Raw Device Mapping), vilket inte går i Vmware server, men tydligen ska gå i Vmware Workstation. Att jag inte lagt hårddiskarna som virtuella maskiner från början beror till del på att jag i framtiden lätt vill kunna använda dem i en server där FreeNAS är host.

Set Permissions on Linux Hosts
If permissions are set correctly, the physical disk configuration files in Workstation control access. This reliability provides boot managers access to configuration files and other files they might need to boot operating systems. For example, LILO needs to read /boot on a Linux partition to boot a non-Linux operating system that might be on another drive.
To set permissions on Linux hosts
1. Make sure the master physical disk device or devices are readable and writable by the user who runs Workstation.
* Physical devices, such as /dev/hda (IDE physical disk) and /dev/sdb (SCSI physical disk), belong to group‚Äêid disk on most distributions. If this is the case, you can add VMware Workstation users to the disk group.
* Another option is to change the owner of the device. Consider all the security issues involved in this option.
2. Grant VMware Workstation users access to all /dev/hd[abcd] physical devices that contain operating systems or boot managers.
Jag önskar hjälp med antingen hur jag lägger till "WMware Workstation users" till gruppen "disk", eller hur jag ger FreeNAS ägandeskapet av de fysiska diskar jag önskar.
