Inget ljud i Ubuntu

Tjenare, jag har precis börjat att använda ubuntu på en daglig basis. Det är min första gång jag är inne i ubuntu världen så jag har inga förkunskaper om linuxsystem, dock kan jag googla.
Det första jag gjorde var att installera teman etc... Det slutade med conky och ett tema. Jag tog självklart lärdom av installerings proceduren,som tog ganska lång tid.
Det andra steget i min färd mot den utopiska linuxdisten Ubuntu var att få igång ljudet. Efter en stunds googling upptäckte jag att mitt ljudkort, vars namn jag redan visste(Creative X-Fi), hade enorma mängder av dålig respons, men kaxig som jag är så gav jag mig in i det. Och eftersom att jag vänder mig till er efter hjälp så kan det inte ha gått bra.
Jag har försökt att installera X-fi drivisarna men jag får alltid Error 1 eller Error 2
Nu har jag i princip gett upp hoppet om att få mitt Creative X-fi kort att fungera, och gett mig in i moderkortets ljudkort.
Så nu behöver jag hjälp med att få det fungera. Jag har postat så många loggar jag kan, hojta gärna till om det fattas någon.
