Tighvnc vill ej funka för mig

Hej

Jag försöker att få igång Tighvnc i min Ubuntu 8.04 hardy version här. Jag försökte med att följa denna tråd: http://ubuntu-se.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.p ... hilit=+vnc men det ville sig inte funka för mig. När jag försöker att logga in från min WinXP Home burk via firefox får jag bara en vit skärm som det står RFB 003. 003. Och från tighvncviewer händer det inget alls

Min xstart-fil ser just nu ut så här:

Det är mänder med fel; inget vnc på Display:1 t ex. Samt krångel med xservern och tangentbord m m. Utan att ha läst alla loggrader så måste jag ändå fråga om det vanliga desktop fungerar?

Fungerar den vanliga desktopen och du skall vara ensam användare på linuxburken så rekommenderar jag x11vnc som server och vnc4viever som klient. De finns i synaptic och har fungerat kanon för mig. För win finns klienten Ultra VNC som är ganska bra också.

x11vnc kör display:0, alltså den vanliga desktopen. Länk till x11vnc config m m:

Nej inga Display:0 eller :1 funkar för mig. Men jag prövar väll med X11vnc:n återkommer med info när jag har testat.
