Få skärmen till tv med s-video

Hej,

Jag vill få använda min tv till att visa en klon av dataskärmen eller som en egen skärm detta via s-video. Grafikkortet mitt är ett WinFast PX8600 GTS TDH.

Detta fungerade dock inte utan gav bara att skärmen vart ur synk och inget visades på tv:n. Några förslag om hur detta skall lösas?

Har du provat att låta programmet nvidia-settings generera grafikinställningarna för xorg.conf? Där kan du lätt specificera vilka upplösningar samt uppdateringsfrekvenser dina skärmar ska ha vid olika skrivbordsstorlekar (metamodes), det borde lösa problemet med out-of-range fel / flimmrig bild.

Kravet är att du kör med de propretiära drivrutinerna då nvidia-settings är gjort av just nVidia för att konfigurera dubbla skärmar, men jag tror det fungerar med en TV med.

Kan dock inte garantera något eftersom jag just nu inte har nät hemma och kan söka mer i frågan. Ska ge mig på samma sak så fort jag får nät och hade då tänkt testa att låta nvidia-settings bygga de delarna av xorg.conf och sen lägga in dem manuellt för att bevara andra inställningar. Ha alltid en backup redo som du kan återställa via terminalen ifall det blir svårt att logga in grafiskt, samt kolla systemloggarna efter syntax fel.
