Har installerat wow men när jag försöker starta det får jag följand fel meddelande.

This application has encountered a critical error

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) fatal Exception
Progam: C:\Program Files \World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
Excepion: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0073: 7D34A024

The instruction at ”0x7d34A024” referenced memory at ”0x00000000”.
The memory could not be ”read”.

Har ett Nvidia grafikkort

I ”Howto” står bl-a. Följand:

Config.wtf
WoW använder sig av DirectX som standard, men för de flesta kommer det att fungera dåligt. Om det är så för dig kan du ändra i config.wtf så att WoW kör OpenGL istället.
config.wtf hittar du i /home/<snvändarnamn>/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/World\ of\ Warcraft/ och öpnna sedan wtf-mappen så hittar du filen

Hittar mappen men den är tom !

Vidare står det:
Om filen inte existerar så starta WoW och logga in med din karaktär så skapas filen. Öpnna config.wtf med en text-redigerare och lägg till följande längst ner:

Men det går ju inte, eftersom wow inte går att starta.

Vad ska jag göra ?

Du kan oxå fixa det genom att följa wine's applicationsdatabas: http://appdb.winehq.org/

Open a terminal window, (konsole/terminal/x terminal etc..), type regedit and press enter. This will start the Wine equivalent of the windows registry editor. If you are familiar with using the registry editor under windows then this is pretty much the same.

1. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\
2. Highlight the wine folder in the left hand pane by left clicking on it. The icon should change to an open folder.
3. Click right on the wine folder and select [NEW] then [KEY].
4. Replace the text "New Key #1" with OpenGL (CaSe Sensitive).
5. Right click in the right hand pane and select [NEW] then [String Value].
6. Replace "New Value #1" with "DisabledExtensions" (CaSe sensitive).
7. Then double click anywhere on the line, a dialog box will open.
8. In the value field type "GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object" (without the quotes).

Note: If you are unable to rename the newly created key "New Key #1" to "OpenGL" then expand the left hand pane of the regedit window using the vertical divider bar. You should now be able to change it. A known bug in Wine is causing this unwanted behavior.

You should see a significant performance gain.

Har du prövat att starta wow med: wine Wow.exe -opengl
från command line i /home/~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft?
Error 132 är knepigt för det är ett generellt fel som är svårt att felsöka; det kan bero på massor av saker. Än knepigare blir det av att du inte har någon config.wtf, eftersom många av de tweaks man kan testa finns där. Alltså, när jag startar WoW med wine Wow.exe -opengl så startar spelet hur fint som helst, men problemet är att jag ser INGEN MUS knapp.
Vad kan problemet vara där? Någon som har några tips?
Skulle varit tacksam om någon kunde hjälpt mig.
