jag har fått postfix att fungera mycket bra. Men nu tänkte jag att jag skulle installera saslauthd också som säkerhets åtgärd. Men jag får det inte att fungera. När jag ska testa om det funkar med telnet

Telnet localhost 25  Så får jag inget svar från postfix med dom här inställningarna.

tacksam för svar!

Vet inte hur saslauthd funkar, alls, eller ens vad det är till för.
Men lite men info vill vi nog ha.

Startar applikationen överhuvudtaget? "/etc/init.d/postfix start" säker "OK"?
Vad säger loggarna? (/var/log/mail.*)
"lsof -i" visar att postfix lyssnar?
Hur reagerar telnet? Om inget lyssnar borde telnet dö direkt med ett "Connection refused".

Jag löste problemet. kollade lite extra noga i guiden jag gick efter. Så hade jag missat en sak
