DVD uppspelning hackar

Jag har problem med uppspelning av DVD filmer sen jag installerade Feisty, under Dapper var det inga problem.
När jag spelar en dvd så hackar det väldigt mycket, vad jag förstår av loggarna från både xine och vlc så tappar jag en massa frames.
Så här ser de ut:

Jag installerade DVD codecs och Nvidia drivrutiner via Automtix2 först men har även provat att avinstallera dem och installera libdvdcss2 från medibuntu samt nvidia-glx-new via synaptic. Fortfarande samma resultat.
Kan problemet ligga i nvidia drivrutinerna?  När jag kör med 24 bitars färgdjup får jag lite grafikfel i xMoto och Stellarium, med 16 bitars ser allt normalt ut.
Eller ligger problemet i DVD drivrutinerna?
Jag kan spela xvid/divx utan några som helst problem.

Min dator är en Sony Vaio FS395VP laptop.
