Inga felsvar vad jag kunde se men det verkar vara problem ändå eftersom när jag slår fglrxinfo visar det detta:

Make sure you have the 'restricted' component enabled

Jag gjorde inte "Pre-Installation Checks" innan såg jag nu, är det problemet? Ska jag göra dessa och sen köra installationen igen innan jag kör in Xgl?

Börja göra backup på Xorg:

Installera 8.40.4 Drivrutin manuellt
Ta hem ATI drivrutiner: ati-driver-installer-8.40.4-x86.x86_64.run (den här installationen är för 32bit och 64bit systems).
Lägg filen i din Hemmapp i datorn.

Först göra filen körvänlig: Sen börja installera den: Och följ anvisningarna på skärmen.

Sen när det är klart, gör detta i terminalen: ändra det som säger:
Drivers "ati"
till
Drivers "fglrx"

Sen starta om datan.

Sen skriv i terminalen: och ge oss här inne vad du får för svar.


Denna kanske är lättare

Körde sen: sudo aticonfig --initial --force

Startade om, allt väl. En icon i högra hörnet som sa något om att jag kör restricted drivers, en ikon som ser ut som ett nätverkskort..grön.

Ser bra ut nu med fglrxinfo:

Efter den är installerad, starta om och Välj session vid login sidan....då väljer du "gnome with glx"
Sen logga in, funkar det så är det bara att börja pumpa in Compiz fusion eller liknande 

Loggade in med Gnome+glx...mega grafikfel på hela skärmen...damn..nästan hela vägen...något jag kan göra?

Kör upplösning 1200x800 på laptop

I Ati center verkar allt vara okej som jag kan se. Den hittar X600 med rätt grejor.

Ändra tillbaka Xorg filen.

För då tog du bort allt 

Körde allt från:

sudo apt-get install xserver-xgl  till  sudo chmod a+x /usr/share/xsessions/xgl.desktop

Inte den där nedanför. Allt funkar bra om jag kör i vanlig session.

logga in med Gnome bara, hur ser ut?

Skulle det inte funka. så kan du logga in i tedxtbaserat läge. Där skriver du: byt tillbaka till ati igen.
sen spara filen med ctrl+o  (bokstaven o)
och starta om.....

Wiihaaa...loggade in med gnome-xgl och det var lite sma storningar, nu funkar det nar jag ar inne forutom att svenska vokalerna aer borta >/(

Saa eftersom det funkar i gnome-xgl sa ar det compiz dags daa alltsa_ vill du se nagra instaellningar fraan mig nu?

Standard att det byter till engelska tangentbord. Man trycker på fel när man får upp en ruta om nån configuration 

men bara byta till svenskt layout igen i system/administration  under tangentbord

Ja nu är det nära, kanske inte ens gillar kuben och allt det andra men jag ska fan se det nu efter allt jobb.

Jag har kollat att Compiz 0.3.6 is installed by default in Ubuntu Feisty så det är grönt.

Är detta något att ha? Och vad är universe repository?
