5.3.0-3ubuntu4
Qt 5.3.0 is now in utopic-proposed. Eight Qt modules auto-synced from Debian were already waiting there for the base modules, and they should start building shortly. Three more modules were made syncable in the process of packaging 5.3.
Everything that was on the blocker list of the landing was resolved or whitelisted today. For example the emulator worked fine after today's additional fixes.

Status: Utopic Development Kernel
We have rebased our Utopic kernel “unstable” branch to v3.16-rc2. We are preparing initial packages and performing some test builds and DKMS package testing. I do not anticipate a v3.16 based upload until it has undergone some additional widespread baking and testing.

We have rebased our Utopic kernel “unstable” branch to v3.16-rc3 and uploaded to our ckt ppa (ppa:canonical-kernel-team/ppa). Please test. I don’t anticipate an official v3.16 based upload to the archive until further testing and baking has taken place.

Förra veckan, medan jag var till havs, uppdaterades Mir i UU till version 8.00. Kanske ett tecken på att Mir nu börjar att bli ”moget”.

Vilket väl betyder att för oss, som inte förstår så mycket av vad som förändras 'under huven', så blir 14.10 väldigt lik 14.04. Finns det överhuvud taget något nytt av betydelse som 'syns'?

Vill man ha synliga förändringar får man nog aktivera Unity 8 (och Mir). Där har det skett en del sedan 14.04 släpptes.
