Eftersom du verkar använda relativa sökvägar så kommer den där config-filen bara att fungera om du startar rtorrent direkt från root-katalogen.

directory = ./media/disk/
session = ./media/disk/session
schedule = watch_directory,5,5,load_start=./media/Animation/Upload/torrent/*.torrent
Du löser problemet genom att använda absoluta sökvägar istället, dvs du ändrar alla "./media" till "/media" (ta bort punkten).

Om man får följande meddelade:

rtorrent: Could not lock session directory: "media/download/session/", Permission denied
Hur ska man göra för att ge rtorrent tillgång till mappen?

Varför använder du mappen media ? Där lägger Ubuntu de flesta monteringspunkterna för externa och flyttbara diskar, minneskort m m.

Det vore bättre att skapa en ny mapp i din /home mapp för rtorrent, tycker jag. Och då fungerar nog rättigheterna bättre.

Annars kan man skriva så här i en terminal:

sudo chown -R din_användare:din_användare /sökväg/till/mapp

-R gör att alla filer i mappen får dig som ägare.

Ja just det det borde ju funka. Vet inte varför jag skulle ha torrents mappen på den hdd´n...

Vad är sessions till egentligen? Är det där alla torrents som inte är klara lägger sig?

Är det förövrigt normalt att man lägger hdd´arna i media mappen? (media/downloads är en hdd)Eller ska jag ändra fstab så att hddn(downloads) lägger sig i home mappen? För då har jag ju lite mer rättigheter va?

Jag har alltid mina hdd i /media. Bara att köra chown -R på mappen du monterar den i så har du samma rättigheter som i hemmamappen. Men det är väl en smaksak var man vill montera dom.

Det verkar inte fungera att dela ut torrents mappen i samba. Det går inte att skriva till den. Har samma inställningar som jag har på min andra ntfs hdd med upload katalog på. Bör man ändra inställningarna i smb.conf?

Hitade det här:
mv ~/torrrets/sessions/rtorrent.lock ~
Funkar det efter det så ta bort ~/rtorrent.lock

;Muahah det funkade, Men jag vet inte vad det gör :)

Det var bara tydligen att ändra rättigheterna på mappen. Så nu funkar allt. Hoppas detta kan hjälpa andra n00bs som jag :)

Ett litet tips i förbifarten..

Många vet säkert redan om det, men en ny version.. "Deluge 1.0.0_RC2" kom ut för några dagar sen. Lite råare kanter på ett par ställen pga total rewrite, men det gör inte så hemskt mycket ;) Framtiden ser ljus och fin ut med det nya uppfräschade webb interfacet och alla dess möjligheter.

- uTorrent, kul att ses ... men nu drar jag till grönare ängar ;)
