Ändra startordningen i Grub

Vill ändra startordningen i Grub. Har läst en drös inlägg och det verkade enkelt... Har förstått att man ska gå in på sudo nano /boot/grub/menu.lst och där ändra ordningen, men hur och var? Så här ser det ut när jag skriver sudo nano /boot/grub/menu.lst:

Det är bara att ändra på:

default    0

0 betyder första raden i menyn och sen lägger man till +1 för varje ny rad.

Vanligtvis så brukar ändra till 4 istället, men detta beror på hur många rader man har i menyn, ex. kan det stå:

2.6.20-16-generic
2.6.20-16-generic (recovery mode)
memtest86
Other operating systems:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Då räknar man raderna ner inkl. Other operating systems och börjar på 0.
Vill man då att Windows XP ska vara default så ändrar man till 4 i detta fallet.

Plun hann visst skriva en tråd innan, men eftersom jag försökte vara pedagogisk så lägger jag ut min tråd också

Är det någon som vet om default-siffran ändras automatiskt när GRUB uppdateras automatiskt, t.ex. efter installation av ny kärna?

Annars är det kanske en säkrare idé att flytta hela den här biten:

Nu funkar allt och jag ska sätta mig ner och läsa på i lugn och ro. En sista sak dock; vad är det för Standardnyckelring som man måste loggga in på?

Nej, defaultsiffran ändras inte automatiskt.
Jag råkade ut för detta en gång. Trodde att hela Ubuntu hade havererat när jag startade datorn, men det visade sig att helt plötsligt så blev memtest default.
Kan vara en idé att flytta detta längst upp och byta default till 0. Har jag inte tänkt på.
