noip2-klienten uppdaterar inte min IP-adress

noip2-klienten vägrar uppdatera min IP-adress.

$ sudo noip2 -U 10
Process 24438 - update interval changed to 10.
Configuration data '/var/lib/noip2/noip2.conf' updated

Men likförbannat händer ingenting. Vad är fel?

Jag som helt färsk (1 vecka med Linux) körde med guiden på no-ip's sida.
Den skulle uppdatera sig m.m men icke! (10.04 Server)

Varje gång jag boota om serven så fick jag nytt ip, men no-ip
uppdaterad sig inte, kom inte in via SSH. Mecka med skärmkabeln hit & dit!

Efter mycket om & men så fick jag ordning på det tack denna tråd.

Tack för tips men inget som hjälper mig. Jag startar sällan om burken. Nu har jag iofs en router och det löser ju problemet, men vore ändå intressant om man kunde lösa felet.

Beskrivning: client to alleviate the requirements for an Internet name
With this package the user can have an Internet name for his host even though he might not have a name server or
a static IP. It works by being a client of a supposedly open name server and updating the server's records when
the need arise. A partial list of the servers that are supported is http://{www.dyndns.org,freedns.afraid.org,
www.zoneedit.com,www.no-ip.com}. Some of the services of these servers are free of charge. This is a command line
tool that is written in portable ANSI C with a little OS abstraction layer. It can maintain multiple host names
with the same IP address, and has a web based IP detection which runs well behind a NAT router.
