skärmupplösnings problem (nvidia)

Hej!

Det är så att jag vill få min skärmupplösning på 1280x1024 att bli kvar även efter omstart av xserver. Men när jag skall ändra i xorg.conf så hittar jag inte vart jag skall ändra. Så här ser xorg.conf ut från navidia x server settings programmet:

Så vad skall ändras???

ps. var det otydligt förklarat så fråga gärna!

Om du bara installerat drivrutinerna för Nvidia - tex med hjälp av Automatix (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.getautomatix.com">http://www.getautomatix.com</a>) - så behöver du inte ge dig in och pilla för hand i xorg.conf, utan det lilla programmet nvidia-xconfig sköter det åt dig.

Tanken är ju att man inte skall behöva göra detta, men knappen "spara till xorg.conf" funkar inge vidare, så tänkte göra manuellt, men vet inte hur riktigt?

Jag vet inte om jag har en lösning på problemet, men det verkar vara lite knas med xorg.cong för du har dubbel uppsättning av vissa inställningar. Du har t.ex. två av varje:

• Section "Monitor"
• Section "Device"
• Section "Screen"

Testa att ta bort en uppsättning av varje sektion (från Section til EndSection) - men se till att ta en backup först! Sedan kan du editera filen med t.ex. nano eller vim (jag rekommenderar nano om du inte kan vim redan - i nano betyder ^X att du skall trycka Ctrl-X). Om du har tillgång till grafiskt läge är gedit bäst. Och glöm inte att du måste ha administratörsrättigheter (lägg till sudo innan i terminalen och gksudo i det grafiska).
