I en nyss postad tråd (Problem med uppdateringshanteraren) diskuterades en del lösningar på problem med uppdateringshanteraren. Eftersom att jag har en del liknande krångel så tänkte jag att jag skulle kunna fortsätta på den, men eftersom att den är markerad som löst så gör jag min egen.
När jag försöker att uppdatera mitt ubuntu 9.10 (beta) så får jag först ett meddelande om att alla uppdateringar inte kommer att kunna installeras. Detta kan bero på olika saker enligt uppdateraren, men den menar att det är troligt att någon av följande är problemet:
1) A previous upgrade which didnt complete
2) Problems with some of the installed software
3) Unofficial software packages not provided by ubuntu
4) Normal changes of a pre release of ubuntu
Eftersom att jag mer eller mindre inte gjort något alls med mitt ubuntu sedan installation för ett par dagar sedan (jag har installerat ett nytt tema och compiz) så misstänker jag att det är punkt 4 som är problemet. Jag kan i alla fall välja att köra en partiell uppgradering och om jag gör det så säger ubuntu att det ska hämta ett antal filer och updaten startar. Jag kommer inte långt innan följande visas:
"Uppgraderingen är nu avbruten. Kontrollera din internetanslutning eller installationsmedia och försök igen. Alla filer som har hämtats än så länge finns kvar på disken"
