Pidgin vill inte starta [LÖST]

Har sökt på forumet och de guider som finns har inte hjälpt. När jag försöker starta Pidgin så dyker det upp en ruta där det står att det startar, men sen så försvinner det bara. Ingen ikon i aktivitetsfältet eller någon annanstans som jag kan se. Hur fixa? Antar att det säkert finns en lösning i terminalen eller något men jag är inte särkilt hemma på den.

Prova att starta Pidgin via terminalen och se om den spottar ur sig något intressant när Pidgin dör. :)

Det finns inga dumma frågor, bara dumma svar. :) För att starta Pidgin i terminlen skriver du "pidgin".

Du blir bara uppmanad att uppdatera temat så att det fungerar med kommande versioner av temamotorn, det är enkelt ordnat, gör bara som du blir uppmanad eller posta gtkrc-filen här så kan jag hjälpa dig. (/home/magnawolf/.themes/Progex Dark/gtk-2.0/gtkrc)

Det har dock inget med Pidgin att göra. Det finns lite info här om hur man gör en "backtrace": http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/GetABacktrace, det är dock inte helt enkelt.

Vilken version av Pidgin använder du? Du kan ju alltid prova att uppdatera om du inte använder den nyaste versionen (2.5.6).

Vet inte om jag har några bra tips angående Pidgin dock. Du kan ju alltid prova att nollställa Pidgin genom att byta namn på mappen .purple i din hemmapp och se om Pidgin startar då? Mappen är dold, använd Ctrl + H för att visa/dölja dolda filer/mappar.

Att byta namn på .purple-mappen tycks funka. Nu startar programmet upp sig som det ska.

Då kan du prova att klistra in filer från den gamla mappen, en sak åt gången och sedan starta om Pidgin och se om det fortfarande vill starta. Så slipper du börja om helt från början med inställningarna etc för Pidgin. :)
