Problem med ett Via VT8623 [Apollo CLE266]

Jag hostade precis igång en gammal burk jag hade ståendes med ett mini ITX kort i. Körde in Xubuntu 8.10 via ett usbminne vilket gick riktigt fint. Allt fungerar riktigt bra. Men har stött på ett problem som bara uppstår när jag kikar på en film eller liknande. Datorn låser sig fullståndigt efter en stund. Är allt från 5 min till en timme in i filmerna. Jag funderar på om det kan ha något med minnet att göra.
Sitter bara 500 MB minne i datorn.
Processorn är en 1 GHz.
Hittar inget uppenbart i loggarna.

Läste något om en framebuffert bug på VT8623 men kan lite för lite för att förstå innebörden.

Någon som kan tipsa om var jag ska börja felsöka.

Det är nog en fördel om du kande bifoga X.org-loggarna också, om du tror att det har med grafiken att göra. Annars finns ju loggarna i /var/log och det är väl kern.log och dmseg och messages som är värda att kolla först.

Nej jag går nog bet på det, tyvärr. Det enda jag kunnat hitta är att lägga till följande i xorg.conf

Section "Module"
    Disable "glx"
    Disable "xtrap"
    Disable "record"
    Disable "GLcore"
    Disable "dri"
EndSection
Det löste liknande problem i 8.04. Det kan ju vara värt att prova iaf.
