Tänkte installera en quake3 server med patchen 1.31 till min ubuntu server 8.10 men det går inte. Vad jag har läst på nätet så går det tydligen inte att installera äldre .run filer på nyare system. Det finns ett kommando: export _POSIX2_VERSION=199209 som kan fungera (troligen bara på F.C) men inte på ubuntu tydligen...eller?

Finns det nåt annat knep att få gamla .run filer att köras?

Såg att du fick tipset på ett annat ställe om att ändra alla tail +6 till tail -n +6, fungerade det?
