Upplösning nvidia kort

Hejsan,

Har ett Nvidia Gforce4 MX 420 kort som har funkat bra med Feisty men inte nu med Hardy

När jag ska installera accelererad drivrutin för nvidia funkar det bra, men efter omstart funkar endast låggrafikläge. Har testat att köra envy och där fungerar installationen bra men ingen förbättring på upplösningsfronten trots detta. (Datorn startar återigen i låggrafikläge). Försökte även starta nvidia-settings men får felmeddelandet

You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.

Har testat att köra nvidia-xconfig men då händer inget heller.

Ja kort sagt, jag har testat allt jag kan komma på och vad jag kan se här på forumet men skärmen funkar ändå inte som den ska. Har även testat att aktivera effekter under utseende men det fungerar givetvis inte.

Kollar jag i xorg.conf så finns där inga upplösningar att ändra manuellt som man kunde göra förr.

Jaja, vad tror ni, någon som känner till en bra lösning. Vill ju gärna köra compiz och allt....

Vore bra ifall du kunde posta din xorg.conf fil här.

När jag installerade så var jag tvungen att lägga till dessa rader.

Har provat att tom ta bort upplösningarna 800x600 och 640x480 men det händer inget ändå....

Min monitor är en Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo C792

Jag var också tvungen att lägga till skärmens vertikala och horizontella synk i xorg.conf i Monitor sektionen för att få högre upplösning. Kanske du också måste göra det?

Observera att ifall du skriver in fel nummer här så kommer du inte att kunna komma in i X (Gnome). Utan då får du starta i recovery mode och ändra xorg.conf via textläge med nano eller liknande.

Så här ser min Monitor sektion ut i xorg.conf efter jag lagt till HorizSync & VertRefresh, "använd ej dessa nummer".
