Nu är det trasigt [LÖST]

Underliga saker händer. Jag testade KDE4 för ett tag sen, men tyckte inte om det så jag kör fortfarande 3.5. Igår skulle jag installera mplayer från 'adept installer' och då tog den bort en hel del saker med kde4 i namet. Gjorde inte mig nånting tyckte jag eftersom jag inte avänder det längre, men tydligen tog den bort mer än den borde. Allt fortsatte fungera bra i går, men när jag startade datorn idag startade den inte X som den brukar utan jag fick logga in i en terminal och sen köra startx.

Problemet är att det fattas en massa saker. Lång nere till vänster har jag en knapp som heter 'System menu' där jag brukar ha en lista med bland annat 'storage places' och liknande. Nu står det bara 'Empy...'. Jag kan starta Dolphin från start menyn och till vänster se den försvunna listan, men vad jag än trycker på säger den 'Malformed URL system:/media' eller system:/users eller remote:/ osv.

En annan knapp jag hade för att öppna min hemkatalog har tappat ikonen och när man klickar på den står det 'Malformed URL'.


Vad kan vara fel och hur kan man göra för att fixa det?

Prova att installera kubuntu-desktop. Det är paketet som tillhandahåller standardinstallationen i Kubuntu.

testade 'sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop' och fick

Ska jag lägga till raderna till sources.list eller skriva över filen? Jag testade append först men då klagade apt-get update. Då skapade jag en ny som bara innehöll det du listat och då gick det bra, men jag vet ju inte om jag tappat nått.


Apdept Notifier sa nyss åt mig att dra ner uppdateringar och listan innehåller en hel deg grejjer den vill lägga till, mest saker relaterade till xine. Verkar vara orelaterat.

När apept updater kom till "Preparing to configure new version of mplayer..." säger den
"There was an error commiting changes. Possible there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages."

Körde sudo apt-get update, sudp apt-get upgrade och den klagade också på mplayer men sa också att conf-filen var ändrad och frågade om den skulle skrivas över men den inkommande. Jag sa skriv över.


Jag får dock fortfarande "malfored url" nästan vart jag än klickar

Fixat nu. Fick tipset att lägga till 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu gutsy main' till sources.list, update, upgrade, reboot och nu verkar allt fungera igen.

Ganska skönt efter ha levt med terminalen och en webbläsare i två dagar.
