Jag kör för närvarande Ubuntu 7.1 på en gammal Pentium 2 som reserv tills grafiken i min laptop har lagats. Allt går bra fast långsamt. Däremot när jag ska starta Ubuntu så går allt ok tills Ubuntuloggan kommer fram då stannar förloppsindikatorn 1mm lång och där står den. Stänger av datorn och startar igen och då går allt som det ska. Har installerat om Grubben. När jag stänger av så stängs hårddisken av men Ubuntuloggan ligger kvar på skärmen och nätaggregatet går så jag måste stänga av manuellt. Någon som har lösningen?

SV: Startproblem med Ubuntu 7.1
Själv skulle jag prova att köra en gång i felsäkert läge (tryck på ESC när GRUBmenyn dyker upp och välj (recovery mode)) så du får reda på vad datorn stannar på.
Andra problemet tyder på strul med ACPI (som en P2-dator stödjer nog inte).
